Man Injured in STX Shooting Incident

A man was treated for injuries at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital after he was shot Monday night in the vicinity of Paradise Road, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police at about 10:34 p.m., Dec. 21, the 911 emergency call center was notified of multiple gunshots discharged in Adventure Hill, in the vicinity of Paradise Road. Subsequently, a male victim with gunshot wounds arrived at the Juan Francisco Luis Hospital in a private vehicle.

The victim, whose name was not released by police in accordance with department policy, reported that he did not know anything about the person who shot him. He was treated for injuries to his torso and leg, and was listed in stable condition.

Detectives urged anyone with information about the incident to call 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
