Man Charged with Burglarizing Frederiksted Residence

The V.I. Police Department on Tuesday morning arrested 40-year-old Angel Escobar of Estate Morning Star, charging him with second-degree burglary.

The arrest took place at 7:55 a.m. Dec. 15.

According to police, earlier Tuesday a family reported to the 911 emergency call center that Escobar entered into their residence in the Walter I.M. Hodge Pavilion housing community without permission. The family demanded that Escobar leave the residence, however he disregarded their demands.

While investigating this matter, officers made contact with Escobar and placed him under arrest. Unable to post $50,000 bail, he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
