The V.I. Police Department on Wednesday morning arrested Brandon Teliam, age 26 of Prince Street, Frederiksted, on a warrant accusing him of having obscene and inappropriate contact with a minor on the internet.
Teliam is charged with obscene internet contact with a minor, visual medium depicting sexually explicit conduct, computer pornography, blackmail, sending threatening letters, and distribution or exhibition to minors.
Bail for Teliam was set at $25,000. Unable to post bail, he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
