Jerry Carter, a 41-year-old resident of Lawrence, New Jersey, was arrested Friday at the Cyril E. King Airport on a Connecticut warrant charging him with violating his probation.

According to the V.I. Police Department, at about 7:45 p.m. Dec. 4 officers from the U.S. Customs & Border Patrol notified VIPD Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives of a fugitive from justice suspect, identified as Carter, had been detained at the Cyril E. According to the warrant, Carter failed to pay court-ordered restitution for a larceny in which he had been convicted.

Carter posted 10 percent of his $25,000 bail and he was released pending his advice of rights hearing.
