STT Man Arrested on Florida Warrant

The V.I. Police Department on Wednesday arrested Hyram Graneau, Jr., age 30 of Lower John Dunkoe on St Thomas, pursuant to an outstanding fugitive from justice warrant.

According to police, the arrest happened at 2:40 p.m. Oct. 28.

Investigation into another matter revealed that Graneau has an active warrant for his arrest in the state of Florida, for violation of probation, requiring full extradition, police said.

Bail was set at $75,000, which he could not post. Graneau was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his extradition.
