Woman Charged in Monday Kidnapping

At about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday the V.I. Police Department and agents of the FBI arrested 42-year-old Louvina Pringle of Oswald Harris Court, in connection with the kidnapping of a man on St. Thomas Monday.

According to police, Pringle is charged with conspiracy, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and aiding and abetting.

The day before, police arrested 51-year-old Troy A Harrigan of Estate Tutu and charged him in a reported kidnapping. Harrigan is accused of kidnapping a man at gunpoint. The victim, whose name was not released in accordance with department policy, was bound and assaulted. He was rescued by a police officer on patrol and transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident.

Investigation into this incident is ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information in this case to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 extension 5608, or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
