At about 12:26 a.m. Friday VIPD officers arrested Jo’Quanni Cumberbatch, age 26 of Anna’s Retreat, and charged him with illegal discharge of a firearm and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
According to police, witnesses identified Cumberbatch as the individual who discharged shots in a residential area. Police officers retrieved a firearm from Cumberbatch’s residence, resulting in his arrest.
Bail for Cumberbatch was set at $25,000. Unable to post bail, he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
