Fourth COVID-19 Death Reported in USVI; Positive Tests Reach 59

A fourth U.S. Virgin Islander has died of COVID-19 and two more positive test results have been confirmed by the Department of Health.

Monday afternoon, Gov. Albert Bryan said the person was a 67-year-old woman on St. Croix who died at home and was tested afterward, he said. At this point, there are four active cases of the virus being tracked.

The number of confirmed positive tests rose from 57 on Saturday to 59 according to Monday afternoon’s alert. Confirmed negative test results went from 700 on Saturday to 716 on Monday. Five tests are still pending.

Four of the positive cases are still active, the report said, and 51 are considered recovered.
