The V.I. Police Department on Friday evening arrested 52-year-old Adala Donastorg, a resident of Estate Bovoni Apartments, and charged with first-degree rape.
According to police report, the arrest was made at about 7 p.m. by detectives of the Domestic Violence Unit.
Police said Donastorg was positively identified as the suspect who sexually assaulted a female victim on March 7. No details of the incident were available.
Bail for Donastorg was set at $75,000. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
