USVI Resumes Business After Passage of Tropical Storm

Commissioner of Tourism Joseph Boschulte

The U.S. Virgin Islands has resumed business operations following the passage of Tropical Storm Karen, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the V.I. Department of Tourism.

The storm brought heavy rainfall, but it had little to no impact on the territory’s tourism infrastructure, said Tourism.

The Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas and the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix remained open with the majority of flights to St. Thomas and St. Croix arriving and departing yesterday as scheduled. All maritime and seaplane operations have resumed.
