STX Man Found Shot to Death in His Residence

The lifeless body of a 51-year-old man who had been shot repeatedly, was found Sunday evening at his residence in All for the Better, Christiansted, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Police identified the victim as Eustace Samuel.

According to the Source homicide listing, it was the 15th homicide on St. Croix since the beginning of the year, the 26th in the territory.

At about 7:54p.m. Sunday, 911 received a call that a man had been shot. Upon arrival officers discovered Samuel’s lifeless body. It appeared he had been shot multiple times to the upper body while he was inside his residence.

Samuel was identified by family members.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau is following up on leads and asked the community for assistance. Police urged anyone with information regarding this incident to call the CIB TIP-LINE at 469 475 3871, the bureau at 340-778-2211, 911, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS.) Information reported to Crime Stoppers that helps in the resolution of a case can qualify the caller for an anonymous cash reward.
