Marciano Rivera, 18, of Annas Retreat on St. Thomas, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Sunday night and charged with first-degree aggravated rape.
According to the V.I. Police Department, the arrest stemmed from an incident that took place at about 6 p.m. July 29, the Criminal Investigation Bureau was asked to travel to the Schneider Regional Medical Center in reference to a sexual assault.
On arrival, officers made contact with a 13-year old male minor who said that at about 4:30 p.m. July 15, he had been sexually assaulted. In addition, he said he had been sexually assaulted on five separate occasions by an adult black male. He said the adult male held him at knife point while sexually assaulting him. The suspect threatened to kill him and the other minor children if he told anyone.
Rivera was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated rape. He was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
