Wednesday’s Storms Knocked Out Power To Much of St. Thomas

Customers on St. Thomas Feeders 7C and 8B are experiencing an electrical service interruption likely related to the inclement weather being experienced, including frequent lightning strikes. Line Department crews have been dispatched to determine the cause of the service interruptions, and as weather permits, make any required repairs prior to restoring service to customers. Also, there is an isolated service interruption in the Estate Bakerroe area on a portion of Feeder 10B.

Feeder no. 7C includes Four Winds, Time Center, Tutu, Cassi Hill and neighboring areas. Feeder no. 8B serves Mafolie, Magens Bay, Peterborg and other neighboring areas. Feeder no.10B includes Bolongo to Frenchman’s Bay.

See here for more details about what feeder you are on.

Flash flood warnings remain in effect on St. Thomas and St. John until 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. Be cautious in low lying areas. Do not attempt to cross moving water. Some roads are reportedly badly damaged and littered with debris.
