Gerda Viola Thomas-Hedrington died on July 11 at her residence, She was 94.
The celebration of her new life with her Lord will commence at 9 a.m., July 31, at New Beginning Christian Fellowship Church. The celebration will continue at Western Cemetery No. 2.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Hedrington; sons: Alfredo Hedrington and Liston Hedrington; adopted daughter, Vandrina Hedrington-Rogers; and son-in-law, Cleophus George.
She is survived by her sons: Rudolph Hedrington and Henrique Hedrington; grandchildren: Rudolph Hedrington Jr., Jamaal C. Hedrington, Winston George, Edwin George, Christopher George, Franklin George, Ione George, Desiree George and Ann Marie George; and daughters-in-law: Jennifer Amertil-Hedrington, Michelle S. Thompson-Hedrington and Dolores M. Magras-Hedrington.
She is also survived by adopted family’s children: Kareem N. Hodge, Kilah Sturge Hodge, Anderson M. Hodge, Edderson N. Hodge, Kyle A. Hodge and Jessica Regis-Hodge; grandchildren: Edderson Hodge Jr., Ke’Jahni Hodge, Makaylia A.T. Hodge, D’Shawn K. Hodge, Kianna T. Hodge and Aiesha T. Hodge; as well as many other great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, friends, special friends and family members too numerous to mention.
