Rita Gerard has died.
The first viewing will take place from 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 31, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. The second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a service at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 1, at Nisky Moravian Church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her stepmother, Gladys Hill; daughters: Charlene M. Gerard Joseph, Lurlene M. Gerard. Selma S. Gerard-Bishop and Cereese M. Gerard Stewart; son, Ernest A. Gerard; sons-in-law: Gary S. Joseph Sr., Reginald D. Stewart Sr. and Steven H. Bishop Sr.; granddaughters: Mia Y. Morris, Sierra J. Bishop, Yasmin S. D. Descartes, Graciela M. Gerard and Summer G. I. Stewart; grandsons: Louis E. Richards Jr., Steven H. Bishop Jr., Sean A. Bishop, Gary S. Joseph Jr., Toren A. Thomas, Ernest A. Gerard, Aaron E. Gerard and Reginald A. Stewart; and great-grandsons: Louis J. Richards and Romeo K. Martinez.
She is also survived by adopted daughter, Adella Francis; adopted granddaughters: Tiffany Joseph-Philipps, Shakima Francis, Skye Lowe and Rachel Rhodes; adopted great-grandson, K’Jani J. Philipps; sisters: Maria Ayala, Dora Mae Guiler, Rosemarie Rodriquez, Allewine “Barbie” Smith, Lyra Hodge and Darlene Forbes; brothers: Clarence “Bobo” Dawson, Michael A. Rodriquez, Marvel Rodriquez, Kevin A. Rodriquez, Roy “Panhandle” Hill and Ludrick Thomas Sr.; sisters-in-law: Rosalind Gerard, Myrna Gerard, Alexis Gerard, Carmen Williams, Charlene Williams, Ivy Dawson, Kimberly Rodriquez, Rita R.
