Armed, Masked Men Hit STT Bar

Three armed, masked men entered a Charlotte Amalie bar early Wednesday morning, pulled weapons on the staff and made off with about $1,200, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police, at 3:09 a.m. Wednesday, central dispatch received a call that an armed robbery had just occurred at the Dog House Pub in Havensight.

Patrol officers from the Richard Callwood Command along with detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau traveled to the location, where they made contact with the victims.

The witnesses told police that while they were cleaning and closing the bar, three masked men entered the bar and demanded money from them. They said the three men took approximately $1,200 from the cash drawers and tip bucket and ran off to an unknown location.

This incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

Police urged anyone with information regarding the incident to contact 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 ext. 5608, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS.)
