NATURAL MYSTIC - backlit by a late afternoon sun, members of Earth Mama's Pan African Dance Company perform at the St. Thomas-St. John Agriculture Fair.
The fair takes place in a new location, at the Bordeaux Farms Pavillion. Saturday displays included rabbits, silkie chickens and a turtle in the petting farm, lemongrass, squash, tomatoes and watermelon.
Chef Ashley Allen demonstrated turkey carving. Jason Budsan from the St. Thomas-St. John Environmental Association showed how layering mulch from storm debris and sargasso seaweed makes great compost.
There was also a coal pot lighting contest at sunset. More fun to come on Sunday.
