28-Year-Old Shot to Death Saturday in Estate Castle Coakley

A 28-year-old St. Croix man was shot to death and a woman injured by a gunshot early Saturday in Estate Castle Coakley, the V.I. Police Department reported.

The victim was identified by next of kin as 28-year-old Adrian Agustin, the police report said.

According to police, at about 3:53 a.m. Saturday the 911 call center received a report of shots being fired at Gertrude’s Restaurant in Estate Castle Coakley.

At the scene, officers found two individuals had been shot and transported by private vehicle to the Juan F. Luis Hospital.

The male victim, identified by next of kin as 28-year-old Adrian Agustin, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to various parts of his body and died of his injuries.

The second victim in the shooting, a woman, sustained a gunshot wound to her leg and was treated at the hospital. The police did not release the name of the woman.

Police urged anyone with information on the shooting to contact the Criminal Investigations Bureau at 340-778-2211, the 911 call center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
