The Virgin Islands Department of Education, State Office of Career and Technical Education (CTE) has announced a CTE Open House for 8th graders in the St. Thomas – St. John District. It will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18, at Yacht Haven Grande.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about CTE tracks available at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, Charlotte Amalie High School and the Raphael O. Wheatley Skills Center. Light refreshments will be served.

Senate Vice President Myron D. Jackson, chairperson of the Committee on Culture, Historic Preservation and Aging hosted a meeting in collaboration with the Committee on Sports, Parks and Recreation with representatives from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games on Friday at the Capitol Building. The purpose was to meet with visiting Japanese and Virgin Islands Olympic officials to consider the participation of the U.S. Virgin Islands in next year’s Tokyo Olympics, the Paralympic Games and the Olympic Town Host Program.
