Rotary Sunrise, AT&T Donate Books to Tuitt Elementary Students to Read During Summer

AT&T representatives Leon James and Keneisha Riley joined Rotary Sunrise members Claudia LaBorde, Jeni Smith, Leonard “Brother B” Bonelli and Paul Haughton at Jane E. Tuitt Elementary School’s graduation ceremony on Tuesday morning, June 20.

Jane E. Tuitt Elementary has been Rotary Sunrise’s adopted school for years. Throughout each school year, members from the Rotary Sunrise Club visit the school and have participated in a variety of projects with the children.

This morning, the group from the club, accompanied by the two AT&T representatives, attended the graduation ceremony to encourage the children to read over the summer break. As part of this effort, AT&T donated funds to purchase two grade-appropriate books for each child at the school. With the donated funds, the Rotary Club identified and purchased the books and packaged them so that each child would go home Tuesday with two age appropriate books.
