Valencia Charles, 34, was arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree-assault/domestic violence after she was identified by the victim as the person who assaulted him, according to the V.I. Police Department.
The victim told police he was at Charles’s home when she struck him with a stick and punched him in his left eye, causing injury to the eye.
The victim, whose name was not released by the police, told officers he left Charles’s residence and traveled to the Hospital Ground area. Charles followed him, he said, and damaged his vehicle’s rear back glass with a piece of concrete block.
Officers contacted Charles and arrested her. She was turned over to the Bureau of Correction and was held until her advice of rights hearing Wednesday.
