Christopher Gagnon was arrested Thursday by the V.I. Police Department and charged with third-degree assault/domestic violence in connection with an incident that occurred Sept. 29, the police reported.
According to police, the victim, whose name was not released, reported that he was at his residence when the 44-year-old Gagnon, with whom he was involved, started arguing with him. During the argument, Gagnon went into the kitchen and came back with a knife in his hand, the victim said.
He told police Gagnon placed the knife up against his face and told him that he was going to do what he said.
When he got up and walked to the door, the victim reportedly Gagnon to get out and not come back. Gagnon then lifted his hand and stuck the knife in the victim’s stomach. The victim sustained injury to his stomach and was taken into surgery.
Gagnon was charged with third-degree assault/domestic violence. He was held without bail under the domestic violence law and was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of right hearing.
