Weather Update: Town Hall Meeting Postponed

A town hall meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday was postponed by the Office of the Administrator, St. Thomas/Water Islands, because of uncertain weather.

A tropical wave began passing over the territory Wednesday, bringing an anticpated two to four inches of rain and winds gusting to 35 mph, almong with the potential for floods and other hazards.

The office issued the news to "all bar, restaurant, and nightclub operators on the east end of St. Thomas, as well as all news media and the general public."

The tentative new date for the meeting 6 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library in Tutu.
