Grant Arrested in Connection to First Stop Homicide

The V.I. Police Department on Thursday arrested Devon Grant in connection with the June 25 murder of 22-year-old Caseam Daniel.

Grant was arrested on a warrant issued by the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands and charged with being an accessory after the fact and misprision of a felony. He was booked and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections, pending his advice of rights hearing.

According to police, the arrest was connected to the June 25 incident that resulted in Daniel’s death. At about 11:03 p.m. June 25, several citizens called 911 and reported shots fired in the area of First Stop Gas Station in Estate Thomas. Responding officers found an unresponsive man who appeared to have been shot multiple times. He succumbed to his injuries. The victim was later identified as Daniel.
