22-Year-Old St. Thomas Man Dies in Shooting

A 22-year-old St. Thomas man, identified by the V.I. Police Department as Caseam Daniel, was found shot to death Saturday night in Estate Thomas.

It was the 21st. homicide on St. Thomas since the beginning of the year, the 27th on the territory.

According to police, at about 11:03 p.m. several citizens called the 911 emergency center and reported shots fired in the area of First Stop Gas Station in Estate Thomas. Responding officers found an unresponsive black male, identified as Daniel, who appeared to have been shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries.

The case is being investigated by the Homicide Task Force. Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Task Force at 340-774-2211, ext. 5617 and 5514. They can also contact 911, the St. Thomas-St. John chief’s office at 340-715- 5548, the Commissioner of the VIPD’s office at 340-715-5506, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers VI, at 1-800-222-8477.
