Bordeaux Fire Station Reopens After Brief Closure

The Bordeaux fire station, which was closed Saturday due to a mechanical failure, is now open again, according to the V.I. Fire Service. The staff and equipment of the company, which were shifted temporarily to the nearby Emile Berry and TuTu fire stations, are back at Bordeaux.

The parts for the broken firefighting equipment were successfully installed and the device cleared for operation.

As of 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, all staff were back at their original posts. All emergency calls for both the Bordeaux and Northside communities have returned to normal.
