Police Arrest Domestic Violence-Rape Suspect

Moses Danet, a 48-year-old resident of Bolongo Bay, was arrested at 4 p.m. Wednesday and charged with first-degree aggravated rape/domestic violence, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to the police, Danet was taken into custody after an investigation led officers to believe he was the individual who committed a sexual assault of a minor female in September. The VIPD provided no details of the investigation or alleged assault.

No bail was set for Moses Danet and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise of rights hearing.
