Two Injured in Estate Contant Drive-By

Two people were parking their car Friday afternoon in Estate Contant when another car opened fire on them, injuring both, according to the V.I. Police Department.

According to preliminary reports, the pair were about to park their vehicle when a four-door sedan pulled-up in front of them, near China Man Hill. The passenger of the vehicle stepped out, opened fire on the couple, got back into the sedan and sped away.

One of the individuals sustained one gunshot wound to the left thigh and the other sustained four gunshot wounds, one to the right forehead, the left chest, buttocks and center back.

The two were rushed by ambulance to the Schneider Regional Medical Center and, due to the severity of their wounds, were unable to give police a statement or any further information other than saying they did not know the identity of the shooter or driver.

Police did not release the names of the victims.
