Speak Out Against a Cruel Blood Sport

Dear Source:
Bravo to Senator Nellie O’Reilly for speaking out against the cruel blood sport of cock fighting.
Those who justify this barbaric practice as "cultural" are forgetting that slavery was "cultural," but that did not make it right.
Like Senator Clarence Payne, who was the only senator to vote against the dolphinarium at Coral World, Sen. O’Reilly is honoring the message of Dr. Martin Luther King who said:
"Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake."
Anne Marie Porter, St .John
