Ivan Dickenson Dies at 74

Ivan Dickenson, better known as “Dickie,” died on Aug. 14. He was 74 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dickenson; sons: Clifton and Darryl Dickenson; grandchildren: Necole Woods and Donald Dickenson; brothers: Kenneth, Iva and Elwyn Pringle, Joseph, Lionel, Carlton and David Williams, Stanley Williams, and Alwyn, James, Hugh, Vincent, Melvin and Austin Dickenson; and sisters: Dorsity Hanley, Myrtle Williams, Johanna Zamba, Princess Dickenson, Cynthia Douglas, Inger, Claudette and Olivia Dickenson.
He is also survived by daughters-in-law: Eunice Dickenson and Lea James; aunts: Johanna Thompson, Deloris Dickenson and Ursil George; uncle: Clarence Mulraine; sisters-in-law: Edna Warner, Josephine Wilkins, Bernadette Wiliams, Erna Pringle, Maureen Dickenson, and Janette, Sharon, Sharlene and Mary Dickenson; brothers-in-law: Wilmoth Hanley Sr., John Rouse and Kanta Zamba; close friends: Calvin and Delka Leader, Olondo Brown Sr., David and Hyacinth Stephens, Charles and Isolene McKay, and Lawrence and Esular Fleming; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, at Wesley Methodist Church. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
