Two Arrested in Separate Incidents

The V.I. Police Department reported arresting two men Thursday in separate incidents on St. Thomas.

According to police reports, Traffic Enforcement officers responded to an auto accident on Krum Bay Road just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday and reported that 62-year-old Gerald L. Johnson of Water Island was involved in an auto collision.

Police said Johnson tested positive for alcohol and was charged with driving under the influence and negligent driving. His bail was set at $1,500.

Later that evening police arrested 32-year-old Makeem Pratt after he reportedly assaulted the mother of his daughter and fired several gunshots in her general direction.

The incident happened on Princess Gade at about 10 p.m.

Pratt was held without bail due to the domestic violence law, pending his appearance in court.
