The price of gasoline is slated to rise another dime in the U.S. Virgin Islands Monday, as Hovensa announced a 10-cent increase in the rate it charges to retailers from its fuel rack.
The wholesale price of regular will increase to $3.34 a gallon, and premium to $2.79 a gallon. That does not include the 14-cents-a-gallon tax paid by consumers, who will pay a total price of $3.48 a gallon for regular and $3.93 cents for premium.
The price of a gallon of diesel fuel will fall by a penny, from $3.55 to $3.54 a gallon, the company announced.
It is the third price increase since the beginning of 2013.
