Montessori School Fundraiser Set for Saturday

Twenty tickets remain for the St. John Montessori School’s fundraiser Flame and Fusion Dinner Auction, according to dinner and auction organizer Katie Tarta. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Concordia Eco-resort.

“It’s an excellent opportunity to support kids on St. John and early education. And it’s a fun local event,” said Tarta, also a “Montessori mom.”

Tickets are $125 each, and the money raised pays for scholarships, Tarta said.

Dinner includes a four-course meal including a choice of filet, mahi mahi or vegetarian. Tarta said St. John Catering is providing the equipment used in the event.

She said about $50,000 worth of items are included in the raffle, including massages, tai chi classes, a yoga session, boat trips, villa stays and private chef dinners.

David Laabs, Greg Kinslow Band and Bo and Luba will provide the music, which Tarta said starts with classical guitar and ends with dance party tunes. Gina Wllner will put on a fire show.

Tickets are available at Keep Me Posted in Coral Bay, Connections in Cruz Bay, and Papaya Café at the Marketplace shopping center. They may also be purchased with a credit card at www.stjohnmontessorivi.com.
