Pastor Joseph C. Shillingford Dead at 88

Pastor Joseph C. Shillingford of Maryland died on July 16. He was 88 years old.
He is survived by his children: Marjorie Samuels, Carol Wright, Janice Fraser and Jeffrey Shillingford; grandchildren: Julian and Javana Samuels, Christopher and Joel Wright, Kneegal Benjamin, Britney Fraser, Jasia , Jaiden and Jaisen Shillingford; sons–in-law: Milton Samuel, John Wright, and Lennox Fraser; daughter-in-law: Jasmine Rey Shillingford; sister, Ruth Browne; brothers: Howard, Clifford and Donald Shillingford; brother-in-law, Stafford Ambrose; sisters-in-law: Liniel Ambrose, Careel, Evangeline and Camela Shillingford; nieces: Camille Browne-Strickland, Marla and Camisha Browne; and other family and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 29, at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church in Estate Plessen, St. Croix. Interment will take place at Kingshill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a financial donation instead of flowers can contribute to the J.C. Shillingford Fund for needy students who wish to attend the University of the Southern Caribbean.
Checks should be made to the North Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
