The Junior Gardening & Ecology Academy Inc. will be conducting early registration for of itsannual Summer Academy for children ages 7 to 15 and celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Activities will include gardening, field trips, storytelling, hands-on environmental projects, swimming (lessons), academic enrichment, kayaking, drug awareness and prevention, various guest speakers, sports and recreational activities, tutoring, counseling, career development, going to the movies, arts & crafts, computer training, on and off-island camp-outs, and much more.
Free lunch and snacks will be provided through the partnership with the V.I. Department of Education’s Summer Nutrition Program, regardless of race, color, sex, disability or national origin.
The Summer Academy will run from Wednesday, June 27 to Aug. 17; Monday to Friday. Program begins each day at eight until five (8 a.m.- 5 p.m.).
