Gunshot Victim Found In Car In Estate Solberg

St. Thomas detectives are investigating a murder that took place in Estate Solberg early Friday morning, according to the V.I. Police Department. Police found the victim, an 18-year-old man, unresponsive in his vehicle. At about 12:45 a.m. a concerned citizen told police there was a vehicle blocking the roadway in Solberg. When police inspected the area they found the victim, who was later identified as Mohammed Salem of Estate Thomas, inside the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds on his body. Emergency medical technicians on the scene did not find any vital signs on the body.
Major crime detectives, forensic technicians and other police officers processed the scene. Spent shell casings were collected at the scene.
