Accordint to a press release issued Friday by the Early Childhood Advisory Committee of the Governor’s Children and Families Council, it, in partnership with government and non-profit agencies, will host their second Children’s Health and Wellness Fair.
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 13, at the Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged on St. Croix. Children from birth to five years will be given a free health screening for vision and hearing, development, vital signs, body mass index and a dental exam.
Parents are welcome to find out about and sign up for the Women, Infants and Children program (WIC), the State Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Child Care, Head Start and more. Free books and healthy snacks will be provided.
