Children’s Health and Wellness Fair Slated for April 13

Accordint to a press release issued Friday by the Early Childhood Advisory Committee of the Governor’s Children and Families Council, it, in partnership with government and non-profit agencies, will host their second Children’s Health and Wellness Fair.
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 13, at the Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged on St. Croix. Children from birth to five years will be given a free health screening for vision and hearing, development, vital signs, body mass index and a dental exam.
Parents are welcome to find out about and sign up for the Women, Infants and Children program (WIC), the State Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Child Care, Head Start and more. Free books and healthy snacks will be provided.
Transportation will be available from the entrance of Herbert Grigg Home on Queen Mary Highway. For more information, contact Maureen Moorhead at 718-7997 ext 241.
