Andrew Maurice Richardson Dies in Delaware

Andrew Maurice Richardson, better known as “Andre,” died on March 10 in Newark, Delaware. He was 42 years old.
He is predeceased by his father, Elwyn Richardson Sr. He is survived by his mother, Catherine Richardson; sisters: Joyce Richardson-Hansby, Celia Richardson-Hodge, Vanessa Richardson and Eureka Richardson; brothers: Roy Richardson Sr., Elwyn "Tamba" Richardson Jr., Gary "Kimbo" Richardson, Leslie "Toots" Richardson, Alvin Richardson, Shawn "Jahboo" Richardson, Allen "Taku" Van Putten and Dwane Callwood Sr.; brothers- in-law: Antonio Hansby and Romeo Hodge; and sisters- in-law: Elba Richardson, Angel Richardson and Earlsha Cooper; nieces: Keyma Hansby, Shonna Richardson, Sinitta Richardson , T’koia Richardson, T’kijah Richardson, Jahvanna Richardson, Akyla Peters, Karina Richardson-Wood, Knysha Berkeley, Khalysha Vanterpool, Rikaliah Richardson and Remeneshaw Richardson.
He is also survived by nephews: Roy Richardson Jr., Kyle Richardson, Tavis Richardson, Shakir Richardson (Deceased), Shomari Richardson, Shamoi Richardson, Kemo Richardson, Alvin Richardson, Jr, Cody Richardson, Rasheed Hodge, RaShawn Hodge, Shakoi Peters, Andre Peters, Lamar Richardson, K’sani Vanterpool, Khaddif Richardson and Khalil Richardson; aunts: Isabel Caines, Joyce Abbott, June Adams, Cheryl McClean, Delores Coleman and Helen Christian; uncles: Arestelle Richardson, Allen Richardson, Franz Christian, Alphonso Williams, David Arnold and Egbert Richardson; great nieces: Takeara Purnell, Jayda Schoolfield, Shalena Richardson, Shakeja Richardson, Shamiya Benjamin, Shameya Benjamin, Monay Springette and Kmyra Stapleton; great nephews: Jalen Schoolfield, Shamoi Benjamin, K’Sai Wood, K’Moi Wood and J’khai Jessers; special cousins: Alarice Connor, Joy Benjamin, David Christian and Mario Christian; close friends: Beryl Blyden, Babara Benjamin, Scott Benjamin, Lucien Battiste, Yvonne Colburn, Lennie Stephens, Lisle Evelyn, Turiya Hodge-Brooms, Yvette Donadelle, Keysha Vialet, Betty Joseph and Delphine Reynolds; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 23, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. at All Saints Cathedral. Interment will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
