The University of the Virgin Islands-Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) in collaboration with Inter-Island Parent Coalition for Change (IIPCC-VI FIND) will host Partners in Policymaking Training,a leadership training program for parents of children and adults with disabilities, and self-advocates. The two-day training will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, and Friday, March 30, on both St. Thomas and St. Croix. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
It will be facilitated by Dr. Colleen Wieck, executive director of the Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities and the primary creator of Partners in Policymaking. Certificates will be given for attendance on both days.
