The ninth annual Swim Against the Tide will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. Participants in the one-mile swim to raise money for breast cancer survivors and medical research may also swim, snorkel or wade from one end of Magens Bay to the other.
Registration is from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Shed no. 1. Awards will be given out at 11 a.m.
Event director Gayle Deller says, "Come out and bring your boogie boards, noodles, floats and have a great time with your family.”
“Make your way from one end of the beach to the other all for a good cause," Deller says.
All ages are welcome. Registration fees are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
