Virgin Islands Hosts Third Annual District Court Conference

The District Court of the Virgin Islands will host its Third District Conference on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort. This year, the conference will primarily focus on forensic science in the courtroom from the civil and criminal perspectives. Among other things, the conference will include a discussion on recent Supreme Court cases.
Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of the School of Law of the University of California at Irvine; Jennifer Mnookin, professor at the University of California – Los Angeles School of Law; and Jessica Silbey, professor at Suffolk University Law School, will be among the presenters. Theodore A. McKee, chief judge of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and other federal and local judges will also be participating.
