Robert B. Hendrickson Sr., better known as “Shakespeare” or “Daddy Shakes,” died on Dec. 22, at Bovoni Landfill. He was born on Feb. 2, 1956, on St. Kitts. He and his family relocated many years ago to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He was employed as a construction worker.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Hendrickson of Florida; sons: Robert Hendrickson Jr., Albert, Gilbert and Craig; stepson, Tyler Wharton; daughter, La Donna Hendrickson; brothers: David Hendrickson of Boston, Samuel of St. Thomas and Derrick of Atlanta.sisters: Barbara Hendrickson of St. Thomas, Denise and Debra of Virigina, and Jennifer and Cheryl Ann Hendrickson.
A first viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, at the John Thomas Memorial Chapel. A second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. at the Grace Gospel Chapel Estate, Tutu. .Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Cokie Point Cemetery, Smith Bay.
All arrangements are by the John Thomas Memorial Chapel.
