David Andrew Petersen Dies at 90

David Andrew Petersen
David Andrew Petersen, also known as "Daddy" "Bassy" or "Pete," of Estate New Castle Coakley died on Sept. 30, at his residence.
He is survived by his caregiver, Elisa M. Harrison; daughters: Elisa "Lisa" M. Harrison, Agneta "Benny" Petersen, Sherill T. Petersen and Mercedes "Melsie" Petersen; son: Randolph "Junie" Petersen; grandchildren: Kacy, Kevin, Cleon, Ameen, Germaine, Andrea, Theodora, Karen, CheryLnn, Michael, Randolph "Jr." April, Zakkeem and Carlos; great-grandchildren: Niaomi, Delanie, Salicia, Megan and Cherena; daughters-in-law: Lillian W. Petersen and Thamarah Petersen; sons-in-law: Raymond Edwards, Elroy D. Harrison and Maurice Gaskin; and sisters: Cecilia Petersen and Mary Petersen.
He is also survived by sisters-in-law: Hulda "Hullie" A Higgins and Theresa Petersen; nieces: Doreen, Veronica, Mercedes, Winifred, Josephine, Agnes, Beryl, Patricia and Sharon; nephews: David, Raphael, Raymond, Lawrence, Claudius, Kelly, Randolph, Alfredo, Ronald, Rueben, Raphael, Nathaniel and Michael; 16 great nieces; 17 great nephews; godchildren: Eleanor Mason and Sharon Greenidge; adopted daughters: Unita J. Georges and Juanita Santiago; special friends and families: Ann Doute, Rita Phillips, Hyacinth Henry, Rodgers, Flemings, Ortiz, Boyce, Williams, Christians, Henrys, Begraff, Nielsen, Lang, Frederick and Maynard’s; caregivers: Sea View Home and Continuum Care; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
All arrangements are by James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
