Patsy Penn Coaker Dies in Arizona

Friends and relatives are advised that on Aug. 8, St. Thomas native and former teacher Patsy Penn Coaker passed away in her home in Phoenix, Arizona.
She is survived by her daughter, Michele Coaker-Nash; son-in-law, Aaron Nash; three grandchildren: Alex, Max and Quincy; as well as her niece, Kafi Blumenfield and her family. Other family and close friends include members of the Gabriel, Goodwin, Coaker, Phaire, Jeppesen and Williams families.
A member of the CAHS class of `64, she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at NYU and returned to St. Thomas to teach at CAHS and elsewhere before moving to Arizona.
On Saturday, August 13, a memorial service will be held at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 2122 S. Goldfield Road in Apache Junction, Arizona.
