The family of former Lt. Gov. Derek Hodge has announced funeral arrangements, June 8-10, in both island districts, according to a Government House release.
On St. Thomas, Hodge will lie in state at Government House on Wednesday from 8 to 11 a.m., and a Celebration of Life mass will follow at All Saints Episcopal Church at 1 p.m.
On St. Croix, Hodge will lie in state at Government House, Christiansted on Thursday from noon to 3 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday on St. Croix at St. John’s Anglican Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at Frederiksted Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations on St. Croix be made to the V.I. Cardiac Center, and on St. Thomas to the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute.
Additionally, the family has asked that anyone who wishes to memorialize the former lieutenant governor and Senate president should e-mail their tribute to dhodgetributes@gmail.com.
