Anna Louise Thomas-Creque Dies

Anna Louise Thomas-Creque Dies, also known as “Aunty Louise,” died on Sunday, March 20.

She is preceded in death by her sisters: Almean Smith, Blanche Meyers and Gladys Hodge, and brother, James Hodge. She is survived by sisters: Ivy and Ethlyn Hodge, Astrid Hendricks and Myrthlyn Blyden; brothers: Wendell and Israel Thomas, and Edwardo Vanterpool; stepdaughter, Janet Martin; adopted son, Eugene “Nesto” Baptiste; special caretaker, Claydiena Meade; brothers-in-law: Shefton Hodge and Larry Blyden; nieces: Alicia Smith-Temlong, Alena Smith-Rouse, Beverly Smith, Erline Keitt, Shirley Harris, Mary Meyers, Joycelyn Neil, Coreen Daniel, Caroline Riviere, Lynette and Maureen Meyers, Carol and Coreen King, Caren George, Marilyn Thomas-Chandler, Beverly Fraser, Myra Barton, Shirleen Douglas-Hall, Esther and Merle Charles, Beatrice and Bernice Hendricks, Cynthia Thomas, Marie Griffith, Sharon Thomas, Ione Hodge, Tracy and Oyoko Blyden, Tamara Hodge, Shenial Odimma and Maris Wright; special nieces:Lydia Smith-Ells, Ellenore MacTavious, Annette Smith and Janet J. Meyers; and special great nieces:Claudia Thomas and Kesha Ells.
She is also survived by nephews: Henry, Enroy, Rufus, Norbert and Alwon Smith, Kenneth and Frank Meyers, Franklyn “Frankie” and Michael Hodge, Lawrence “Larry” Charles, Charles Hendricks, Aleem Thomas, Andy Hodge, Felix Thomas, Henry Thomas, Alberto and Allen King, Roderick, Theodore and Paul Thomas; special great nephew,Haldine Thomas; adopted son-in-law, Arthur Pickering; adopted grandchildren:Jacqueline, Jeffrey, Juliene, John and Jerome Pickering and Sally Ann Liburd; extended great-grandchildren: Jabari, Janeil, and Jalani Pickering, Ashton III and Ju’Lisa Swift, and Je’Nicia Pickering.
Other survivors include: Constance Gumbs and members of WTJC Methodist Radio Station, Addie and Andre Ottley/Gene Forde of WSTA Radio Station, Sam Topp of WVWI Radio One, Wingrove Fenton of WGOD Radio Station, Cathy Ogara, Mr. Wheatley, Felecita-Garvey, Bernice Gift, Cheryl Pickering and many other great nieces, great nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 8, at Davis Funeral Home. There will be a second viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, at Christchurch Methodist Church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
