Brief: Health Commissioner Resigns

Health Commissioner Julia Sheen stepped down from her post Friday after a year and a half on the job.

Gov. John deJongh Jr. accepted her resignation, according to a statement from Government House, and named Assistant Commissioner Fern Clarke as acting commissioner effective immediately.

DeJongh thanked Sheen for her service. Sheen had served as Health Commissioner since September 2009.
