The Virgin Islands National Guard Family Program Office announces a Youth Readiness Group meeting and social night for military dependents from 4-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Tropical Ten Pins Bowling Center located in Peters Rest on St. Croix.
The meeting is for military dependants ages 13-18. It will engage teens in the planning of camp activities, educational forums, cultural night activities and community outreach. A group social will follow the meeting from 5-7 p.m. for ages 5-18.
The National Guard Youth Readiness Group programs offers military youth the opportunity to learn and grow as they are provided with support and resources needed to develop their physical, social, emotional and cognitive abilities, while experiencing achievement, leadership, friendship and recognition.
Parents are welcome to volunteer as chaperones for both activities; please call to confirm in advance for planning purposes.
Bowlers are required to bring along a pair of socks to wear with the bowling shoes. Parents are required to sign in and out on the attendance roster at the event site.
