Man Arrested for September Parking Lot Robbery

Police on St. Croix arrested 37-year-old Ladislau Concepcion Jr. on a warrant charging him with a first-degree robbery that occurred Sept. 27.

Concepcion, also known as “Lad,” was arrested Wednesday morning.

According to police, on Sept. 27 Concepcion robbed a man of $175 while the victim sat in a car in the Charles Harwood Medical Complex parking lot. The witness told police Concepcion walked up to him and asked him for money for a taxi.

When the man took money out of his pocket, Concepcion displayed a firearm, which was tucked in his waist, took all the money and walked away.

Concepcion was positively identified as the person who took the money.

Concepcion was placed on a $100,000 bail and remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
