Inter-Island Basketball League Games Begin Jan. 21

The Hurricane Basketball League is only days away from kicking-off its inaugural season. With opening night set for Friday, Jan. 21, the anticipation for the first ever inter-island basketball league in the Virgin Islands could not be at a higher level.
The teams representing St. Croix are the Heat, the Lightning and the X-Men. Representing St. Thomas are the Aces, the Magic and the Legends; representing Tortola are the Soldiers and the Dynasty. With rosters set, the coaches are making their final adjustments in preparations for what should be some of the most competitive basketball this territory has witnessed.
Each team will play 16 regular season games. Games will be played at the Central High School Gymnasium on St. Croix, the Charlotte Amalie High School Gymnasium on St. Thomas, and the Multipurpose Sports Complex on Tortola.
